It all started at a music festival, Electric Forest, in 2015. Jon was cooking meals at the campsite for all of his friends, new and old. Everyone loved the food and he realized how happy that cooking for other people made him feel. Combine that with his passion for live music and having a good time: the dream was born! At that same festival, while laying in the grass, listening to Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, someone walked by and dropped an index card on Jon's chest. On that card it said "Wake your dreams into reality." From that moment on, Jon knew what he needed to do....start a food truck to travel the country and work music festivals.
Jon was known for his breakfast burritos and GOAT sauce, and so it only made sense to start a burrito truck...right? RIGHT?!
NOPE!
At a friends fourth of July party, Jon decided to try something new and make Hawaiian Rangoon wontons for everyone. There was no motive, simply that he thought it sounded fire and wanted to try them. So he made them with grilled bacon and pineapple, garlic cream cheese and sweet chili sauce. Everyone went NUTS for them, so much so that Jon went to the store to get more ingredients to do another round. He started to think about ENDLESS possibilities of everything that can be put into a wonton and then though to himself, "there are already SO many burrito trucks, but I've never seen a wonton truck!" The wonton is such a perfect vehicle for food, it's basically a composed dish in every 'ton! Not to mention the fact that his name rhymes with 'ton! The rest is history...
